The Scottish Society for Crop Research will host three sub-committee events this winter focusing on soft fruit, cereals and potatoes.

The Potato Sub-committee will host an afternoon event at SCRI, Invergowrie on 10 February 2009. Speakers include:

• Chris Marshall, Head of Agriculture, QV Foods
• Lorna Spicer, Head of Regulatory Affairs, Syngenta
• Roy Watson, Soil Essentials
• John Bradshaw, SCRI.

A one day conference, 'Farming in tough times', hosted by the Combinable and Energy Crops Sub-Committee in conjunction with SCRI, SAC and SNH will be held at the Battleby Conference Centre, Redgorton, Perthshire on 17 February 2009.

The Soft Fruit Sub-committee will host an afternoon event at SCRI, Invergowrie on 25 February 2009. For further information on attending any of these events please contact Communications@scri.ac.uk.
