SCRI will take part in a free Innovation Showcase Business Day in November, which provides a unique opportunity for businesses to discover the academic expertise available at the University of Dundee, University of Abertay Dundee and SCRI.

The showcase day, on 18 November 2008, will feature a programme of seminars highlighting the importance of innovation to businesses and introduce the financial assistance available to Scottish companies who wish to innovate.

Peter Day from BBC Radio 4's In Business programme will host the day and talk on global innovation and the potential of academic collaboration. Jim Mather, Minister of Energy, Enterprise and Tourism will open the afternoon programme.

These sessions will run alongside an exhibition of academic expertise and technology available to business. A full list of speakers and exhibits can be found on the Innovation Showcase Business Day web page.

The Innovation Showcase Business Day will be hosted at the Dalhousie Building, University of Dundee from 9am-5pm on 18 November 2008.
