RHS role for SCRI director
The Director and Chief Executive of SCRI, Professor Peter Gregory, has been elected to the council of the Royal Horticultural Society.
The Royal Horticultural Society is one of the world’s leading horticultural organisations and the UK's leading gardening charity.
The news was announced at the Society’s annual meeting held in Harrogate.
Professor Gregory said: “I am honoured and delighted to be elected to the council of the Royal Horticultural Society. I hope I can play a part in maintaining the Society as one of the world’s leading horticultural organisations and the UK’s leading gardening charity.”
Professor Gregory joined SCRI in 2005. He is a former Pro-Vice-Chancellor Enterprise and Professor of Soil Science at the University of Reading and Principal Research Scientist at Australia’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in Perth.
