Potatoes in Practice 2008
More than 700 people braved the very wet and muddy weather to attend Potatoes in Practice on Thursday 7 August 2008 at SCRI’s Gourdie Farm near Dundee.
Potatoes in Practice brings together variety trials and research in one place at one time, making it the premier field potato event in the UK. It is sponsored by the Potato Council and supported by Potato Review and features trials and demonstrations from SCRI, SAC and CSC Potato Care.
Input from the potato industry has expanded the event year on year bringing it to a new level of success, with attendees including growers, advisors, overseas visitors and industry representatives.
The following day SCRI and its commercial subsidiary Mylnefield Research Services hosted the Improving International Potato Production conference in Dundee to mark International Year of the Potato.
