Cereals in Practice 2009

Photograph of visitors on a field tour at Cereals in Practice 2009 Cereals in Practice, Scotland’s newest cereals event, was held at SCRI’s new Balruddery Farm on Tuesday 7 July 2009 with over 200 people attending.

Bringing variety trials and research together in one place, Cereals in Practice is a key event in the cereals industry calendar.

Cereals in Practice combines SCRI’s previous cereals event, Cereal Solutions, with the SAC Angus/Perthshire Agronomy Centre wheat and barley variety and management trials to create a must-attend event for anyone interested in cereal farming and associated industries.

The event is hosted by SCRI, SAC and the Scottish Society for Crop Research and featured current cereal research and variety trials together with crop protection demonstrations from BASF, Dow Agroscience and Bayer Crop Science. There was also a marquee containing displays on current research and information from SCRI and SAC alongside demonstrations from members of the cereals industry.
