SCRI Quality Policy

ISO 9001:2000 certification logoSCRI is dedicated to achieving and maintaining the highest possible standards of quality in order to meet the requirements of its work and the needs of its internal and external customers.

To achieve this SCRI will seek to:

  • Plan and develop work processes by means of Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Monitor quality performance through Quality Management Review meetings and audits.
  • Comply with the requirements of the BBSRC/DEFRA/FSA/NERC Joint Code of Practice for quality assurance and the BBSRC Statement on Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice.
  • Comply with the requirements of customers and official bodies.
  • Operate a quality management system that meets the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 and which is systematically maintained, reviewed and revised to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Set quality objectives and targets.
  • Allocate sufficient resources to achieve its quality objectives and targets within budgetary constraints.
  • Obtain and act upon customers’ feedback.
  • Appoint competent personnel to co-ordinate the quality management system.
  • Develop competency through provision of training and communication.
