SCRI Health and Safety Policy

OHSAS 18001 certification logoSCRI is committed to providing a healthy working environment and to the prevention of injury to and ill-health in employees, contractors and members of the public.

To achieve this SCRI will seek to:

  • Provide adequate control of the health and safety risks arising from our work activities by risk assessment and the implementation of risk control measures.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are being maintained through monitoring activities such as audit and inspection.
  • Communicate and consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety and gain their co-operation in implementing improvements.
  • Comply with all relevant legislative and other requirements.
  • Operate a health and safety management system that meets the requirements of OHSAS 18001 and which is systematically maintained, reviewed and revised to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Set health and safety objectives and targets.
  • Allocate sufficient resources to achieve its health and safety objectives within budgetary constraints.
  • Appoint competent personnel to co-ordinate the health and safety management system.
  • Ensure competency of all employees though the provision of training, information, instruction and supervision.
